Bill Poole
Seaforth Sportfishing joins the sportfishing community in mourning the passing of Bill Poole. Bill was one of the founders of Seaforth in 1960 and maintained an active role until the time of his death. Without his guidance and influence we would not be the landing that we are today. You would be hard pressed to find a single individual who has influenced Southern California Sportfishing more than Bill. His legacy can be seen on nearly every sportfishing dock in San Diego with respect to boats that he has built, boats that he has owned and captains and crewmen that he has mentored throughout his career. You will be missed by all of us at Seaforth. Fair winds and following seas, Bill.
The Poole family has asked that instead of flowers being sent to their home, they would like to see donations in Bill Poole\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s name to be sent to the Sportfishing Association of California to be dedicated for funds to preserve sporfishing. Ingrid wants her husband\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s memory and service to the sportfishing industry to be remembered and preserved. She believes these donations will help us battle to stay fishing in Mexico and California and protect the legacy Bill Poole worked so hard for these many years. The Sportfishing Association is honored to receive these funds and will promise to dedicate these new resources to protecting the public\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s rights to participate in marine activities. Please contact Michelle Gandola with any questions about the appropriation of these funds. Please make all payments to: Sportfishing Association of California, 5000 North Harbor Drive Suite #100, San Diego, CA 92106. Mark all checks in the memo section: Preserving sportfishing in memory of Bill Poole. We thank you for your support.
